About Me!

Danica Mendiola is an illustrator based in Santa Ana, California. She is interested in the exploration of vivid colors while instilling a fun, childlike wonder that people can find solace in. Influenced by children's books' illustrators like Kevin Henkes and Richard Scarry, she aims to replicate the lighthearted atmosphere of whimsicality from such works.

Danica is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration at Cal State Long Beach, set to graduate at the end of 2025. Danica has worked as a graphic designer, mural assistant, product designer, and creating public artworks for the city of Costa Mesa. She is continuously expanding her creative portfolio as she continues in her endeavors.
